Motion capture systems provide to the researcher, biologist or veterinarian a tool to document and track the movements made by the animal under analysis. Such systems are used to study a wide range of motion, from the flight of a bat to mechanisms of dolphins swimming. As in human measurement, all the concepts and procedures known can be extrapolated to biological analysis.
There are several applications in veterinary science:
Gait Analysis in animals.
Assessment of training in horses.
Fly mechanisms in birds.
Feed mechanisms.
