Motion Analysis

Motion Mesurement is a term used in biomechanics to describe the collection and analysis of data from any kind of motion in 2D and 3D. These data are collected from video cameras, magnetic or mechanical devices, etc., and are processed to calculate linear and angular displacements, velocities, accelerations, etc.. and generally any kinematic parameters calculated based on the positions of specific points in space and time.

 

UCOTrack is a video-based motion capture system that allows obtaining and calculating movement kinematics information. Incorporating complex vision algorithms, the software provides video capture from different sources, calibration of the image, three-dimensional reconstruction and output of kinematic results with a high level of accuracy, with better results than conventional measurement systems.

It use reflective markers on the patient's specific anatomical locations whose positions, according to the reference system, are detected by the system. From these positions the system allows measuring angles, orientations, distances, etc.
